The Moments: Lola

Nothing says spring quite like a delicate halo of curls and a blush of soft pink makeup. Though perms are often classed as a beauty treatment of the past, celebrity hair guru Mara Roszak has been quietly reintroducing the perm to a new generation of young women in Los Angeles who want to amp up their natural waves. Actress and activist Lola Kirke proves a perm's contemporary value by choosing to celebrate the change of seasons by defining her naturally wavy hair into tighter curls (she's since lightened it all to a blond).
