Georgia O’Keeffe:Visions of Hawai‘i

While heading up to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx can sometimes seem like quite a trek, this multi-layered exhibition is well worth the journey. Exploring O’Keeffe’s three-month trip to Hawaii in 1939, it includes: a gallery of her paintings from the island; an ephemera-laden analysis of the plants she painted; a film revisiting the letters sent between her (read by Sigourney Weaver) and her husband; an illustrated travelogue; and a tropical plant tour through one of the conservatories. - LMH

Big Chicken Barn Books

On a road trip this week I visited this massive former chicken barn that now houses over 21,600 square feet of antiques and paper collectibles. The whole upper floor is all vintage books, magazines and ads that would take weeks to sort through. Heaven for any reader, collector or researcher! - LMH

Won't You Be My Neighbor?

The never-ending parade of depressing news stories might have had me doubting the goodness of the world, but this documentary on Mr. Rogers rewarmed my heart and reminded me how much good can be done by a kind and loving soul. - LMH
